Warm Corporation and Warm Floors have offices, fabrication facilities and warehouse storage in an industrial park in Napa, CA, (40 miles NE of San Francisco), within commuting distance of a dozen other cities, but out of the worst of traffic congestion in the San Francisco Bay Area.

We have satellite facilities in San Diego, CA and Rockville, MD, near Washington, DC.

What does Warm Floors do?

Warm Floors is a design/build contracting firm in Napa, California, offering design, fabrication and installation of innovative hydronic radiant heating systems, i.e. warm water pipes in the floor, which in turn, heats the building. We use this same technology to heat walls and ceilings, to melt snow and ice, to heat swimming pools, and more. Our primary business is large custom homes, but we also do industrial, commercial and institutional projects. The company has been in business for 28 years and works throughout California as well as the Nation.

We have 30 people on staff; half in the field and half in the office. We sell over $3 million in systems per year, and have 130-140 different projects going at any one time, and are growing at 10-15% per year. Warm Floors is a division of the Warm Corporation and is also known as The Warm Company.

Our technology is unique. Warm Floors has created the most efficient, comfortable, clean, quiet, ecological, uncomplicated and healthy heating system available anywhere. Warm Floors are totally quiet, invisible, flexible, and great for those with dust or pollen allergies, poor circulation, and are ideal for pets or young children. Warm Floors are the gold standard of heating systems.

We accomplish this with a combination of leveraged design, multiple zones, lifestyle programming, clever engineering, innovative electro-mechanical controls and efficient heat sources. The variations in our systems are many, from snow melt to solar pool heating to industrial heat to our primary product – The Warm Floors System.

Among radiant heating technologies, Warm Floors cost less to install and less to operate and offers more benefits than the competition. Warm Floors is also the fastest system to install, the least likely to fail, and the easiest to diagnose, service and repair.

We have designed our technology to be ‘obsolescent-resistant,’ our company to be ‘recession-proof,’ and our direction to be ‘future-forward.’ We have combined a number of “slight-edge” advantages into the Warm Floors Edge, a substantial competitive advantage and a promising future.

Warm Floors is Expanding

We are a company on the move. Warm Floors is growing; we have a satellite office in San Diego, are expanding to the East Coast in the Washington D.C. Metro area, and next year, to Seattle-Portland.

We expect to double our sales in the next few years and triple them in a few more.

Our parent company, Warm Corporation is also expanding, with several new divisions in development, with adjacent products, such as Hacker Industries Gyp-Span® Underlayment, electric and thermal solar systems, and more.

We have the products, the concepts, the momentum and the resources to grow steadily. The only missing component is the right people to make it happen.

Warm Infrastructure: Computerized and Connected.

With well over 100 projects in progress at any time, in as many as 50 different building jurisdictions and cities, much of our work is keeping track, automating our internal processes, supply lines and scheduling.

We have developed our own unique computer control system that handles CRM (Customer Relationship Management), JIT (Just in Time) Inventory, ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), Sales, and Scheduling for Service and Installation. The computer system is near-seamless, easily moving from one area to another with a few clicks.

Our infrastructure includes our long developed supply lines, with distributors and manufacturers we have had for decades, industry partners of all kinds, associates, alliances, consultants, and professionals in many fields.

What do you need to succeed at Warm Floors?

The Warm Success Factor is attitude and aptitude.

To work here, you do not need experience in the hydronic radiant field. What you do need is enthusiasm, positive attitude, eagerness to learn, an aptitude for solving problems, and a great deal of energy.

There are some specific requirements, listed for each position, such as computer skills for all office people and field construction experience for installers, but specific experience in the radiant field is not a necessity.

We have unusual longevity for a construction company, with many exceeding 5 years of service here, and some with 12-15 years. Once we find winners, we do everything to keep them engaged and happy. We pay as much attention to retention as we do to recruitment.

In the office, we cultivate and encourage an upbeat and energized mood. There is constant buzz and intermittent laughter from different departments. We have found that people are more effective and productive when they enjoy their work. It’s essential to our operation.

We are not very good at letting people go, and once hired, we invest considerable resources in training. It does not help the applicant or the company if we do not find the best possible fit and it does not work out.
